The Alliance brings together leading European networks working on collaborative housing, including community land trusts, housing cooperatives and student cooperative housing, alongside municipal and civil society partners.
How we work
Policy influencing
We act as a bridge-builder for the collaborative housing sector, working with the European Commission’s Housing Task Force, the European Parliament and Member State representatives on housing finance, enabling regulatory frameworks and the role of non-profit and limited-profit housing actors in implementing the Affordable Housing Plan.
Evidence & positioning
We turn local experience into policy-ready evidence of the social, environmental and economic impact of collaborative housing, so that its recognition in EU policy translates into real support at national and local levels.
Capacity-building
We bring together collaborative housing models from Switzerland to Ireland, France to Catalonia to share and learn from one another, and we link them with municipalities, public banks and ethical finance actors to unlock land, financing and technical support.
